The company was founded by José Planas Vilalta in 1949 and began business as Textil Planas Oliveras in April of 1979. It has its registered head office in Manresa, Barcelona, Spain. The company is the leading Spanish manufacturer of hydrophilic gauze dressings, as well as a major supplier of all types of bandages, and hydrophilic cotton. It offers a range of products such as bandages, dressings, elastic absorbent pads, absorbent underpads, anatomical absorbent pads, cottons, rectangular absorbent pads, hand towels, and gynecological towels. These products are manufactured under Texpol and Texpla brands.
